Regular League Day’s

                On Tuesday’s we will have a tee times start with the time being at 11:00 and will not be changed from that time, there are a couple days that fluctuate 20 minutes or so due to events and golf groups, but it is near that time always. This year our Tuesday game will always be a modified quota game for both the individual and team game to keep everything fair and consistent, there will also be a couple proxy markers as well. The game is required to play in and will have a daily fee of $5 per person.  The tees that will be available to play will be the Purple and Red tees, sign up for the tees that you feel most comfortable at and enjoy playing the most. With the quota game, there will be a special handicap established for whichever tee you are playing at. Once you establish 2 scores, we will average your quota points from there on out. After you have played in 4 rounds from a tee box, we will average your previous 4 scores. These can be changed at any point throughout the year just let me know through an email at least 24 hours prior to playing your next round! A GHIN number will be required for a handicap and if you do not have one, please contact one of the golf professionals to get you set up. There is an equation that I have come across with a conversion from red tees to purple tees so anyone with an active GHIN handicap will be able to participate at either tee box! I am also excited to announce that with the help of Mike B and his staff we will be adding a purple tee box to The Preserve this season! The hope is to find something that is a little more visible than the ones we have at The Pines but that is a work in progress.

Chix with Stix

                This will be our non-league day that is more of a social fun day that can be signed up through the league as well. These will be 18 holes in the afternoon, usually around 2:00 every Thursday. We will set up the tee times and pairings. Jann Blesener will run the optional game for that day that has an entry fee of $3.

Non-Members

                For Non-Golf Members who have registered for league, they will have to pay the league promo rate each league day, Tuesday or Thursday. The league promo rate this year is $55 plus tax. Additional guests’ information is listed below.

Events

                We will once again be having the Solheim Cup event will be on June 25^th at The Pines with tee times starting at 11:00 AM. This will be a first come first serve to the first 32 players who sign up. We will send an email invitation to this event on May 25^th, one month prior to the event. This is a team event where Team Red will play against Team White. Each pairing will have 2 players from each team in it and they will be playing a match against each other in effort to get points for their team affiliation. There will be no entry fee for this event. The format will be 6-6-6, first six holes will be best ball, second six will be alternate shot, and the last six will be scramble format. We will random draw for teams based on ABCD the Tuesday prior to the event after that round.

                I am also excited to announce the addition of our first ever Ladies League Pro Member! This is an event where 3 members of the ladies league will be paired up with another GVL or local pro from the area and will be a team quota game. This will be held at The Pines on August 13^th starting at 11:00, once again first come first serve to the first 24 who signed up! Registration will open one month prior on July 13^th. The cost for this event will be $30 and there will be a complimentary meal and wine afterward. This will be a very fun event and hope we can continue doing this from here on out.

Golf Genius

                The software we use to run the league is called golf genius, this is where you can score your rounds, sign up for future rounds and see results from previous rounds. You can access this online at 2024gvlladiesleague.golfgenius.com. If you haven’t yet, please download the golf genius app in the app store on your phone or tablet, it is an orange icon with a golf ball and tee. We will be using Golf Genius once again to score each round and we will use the paper scorecard as a backup only.  If you ever need any golf genius help, I will always be available for assistance whenever needed and would be more than happy to help!!

Guests

                You’re allowed to bring one guest as long as they have a handicap and you let me know at least 24 hours in advance before the round via email which is listed at the bottom. Guests will not be allowed to play in the Solheim Cup or Pro Member unless we are in need of someone to fill a spot. Your guests would receive the after 2PM member guest fee for 18 holes and would still need to pay the daily entry fee if playing on a Tuesday.
